In the African nation of Monge, a plant geneticist Dr. John Blake is tasked with developing GMO seeds designed to manipulate fertility. A covert population control experiment for a multinational giant seed company. But when a genetic disaster strikes, the consequences are irreversible. Pollen escapes, turning maize crops into invasive weeds and sterilizing anything that consumes them—livestock, wildlife, and even humans. As the collapse and destruction of maize crops became evident, chaos spread. John becomes the hunted, pursued by his own company and a despotic Monge leader eager to seize control. Lurking in the shadows is Jaja, an embittered rebel leader with a personal vendetta. Once John’s student, he spent years in prison before escaping a crime for which he believed John was responsible. As Jaja prepares to topple the regime, he kidnaps John. This was not just about revenge. Jaja has his secret reason for needing the miracle seed. Monge descends into civil war. The government retaliates with a devastating airstrike on the rebel camp. Many perished, and when the dust settled, they never found John’s body. Was John a hero, a pawn, or another mole in the shade of the silent yield?

About the “The Lonely Path“

The Lonely Path” is a story of immigrant’s tribulations that not only put Sami’s life at risk but his family as well. Fraud, marital distrust, and family adversity all lend their hands in creating Sami’s story of hardship. At his restaurant’s job, Sami meets one of the most pivotal characters in the story, Kumar, who later introduces him to Jasmine.

To receive the coveted green card, Kumar suggests Sami divorce his wife ‘temporarily’ for the green card he so desperately desired. Sami then meets with Jasmine and strikes a deal. A lady who spun his world upside down and shaped the whole perspective on the pursuit of his American dream. With her former husband out of jail and trying to get back to her, Sami finds himself caught in the saga and the reality of her past life.  As their lives hang in the balance, Sami must make the right choices to ensure his family’s success.
